Herman Lindsey

Herman Lindsey

Herman Lindsey, was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death in 2006. In July 2009, after three painful years on death row, he was fully exonerated. Writing in a unanimous decision, the Florida Supreme Court wrote, “the state had failed to produce any evidence in this case placing Lindsey at the scene of the crime at the time of the murder,” and that the evidence presented was “equally consistent with a reasonable hypothesis of innocence.” After his exoneration, Herman became an advocate for criminal justice reform, assistance for the wrongfully convicted, and ending the death penalty. He is the Executive Director of Witness to Innocence and has been heavily involved with FADP since his release from prison. Herman also hosts an online show, “Cruel Justice.” Herman resides in S. Florida with his wife and children.
