Mark Elliott, former FADP Executive Director, is a native Floridian from the Tampa Bay Area. After attending an execution vigil, he left a successful career in medical life support services and began work to abolish the death penalty as State Death Penalty Abolition Coordinator for AIUSA. His first assignment was working to help pass legislation to end the Juvenile Death Penalty. In 2005, he became Executive Director of FADP – Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. Since then, FADP has become the statewide organization that represents many of the various and diverse stakeholders in Florida’s struggle to abolish the death penalty.
